Using sensors by ifm to control complex winding machines for a controlled process [Use-Case]

[Subtitles] Mobac GmbH was founded as an engineering office and began to market its own products for the wire and cable industry in response to customer requests. The special requirement for their winding machines is the individuality of the machine, because most of their customers are very versatile, so the winding machines have to cover an enormous range. Mobac made a conscious decision to use high quality components and therefore chose ifm. The AE3100 IIoT controller plays an important role in their unwinding machine, where the sensors are somewhat complex. The implemented sensors collect several pieces of information at different points to prevent the material from being damaged and to ensure that the downstream machines work reliably.
